Train the Way that Works Best for You

We know you’re busy, so we’ve designed three different ways to access both our CPD-Accredited Training and Level 3 in Education and Training.

Both courses start with the same four units, so you can level up to the Level 3 in Education and Training at any point by adding Units 5-7.

Live Weekly
- Workshops every Monday evening 7.15-9pm
- Tasks completed within the workshop
- Training Seminars every Monday morning 10-11am
- 2-3 hours/ week for four weeks to complete CPD-Accredited Training
- 3-4 hours/ week for seven weeks to complete Level 3 in Education and Training
Live Sprint
- Workshops Monday-Thursday evening on the first week of every month 7.15-9pm
- Tasks completed within the workshop
- Training Seminars every Monday morning 10-11am
- 4 days to Complete
- 2-3 hours/ day for four days to complete CPD-Accredited Training
- 3-4 hours/ day across seven days to complete Level 3 in Education and Training
Self-Paced
- Units released every Monday morning
- Tasks must be completed within the week
- Training Seminars every Monday morning 10-11am
- 2-3 hours/ week for four weeks to complete CPD-Accredited Training
- 3-4 hours/ week for seven weeks to complete Level 3 in Education and Training
Level 3 additional training and assessments
- Unit 5: Powerful Feedback (self-paced or live)
- Unit 6: Live Topic Review Observed Sessions in the third week of each month (check calendar for dates)
- Unit 7: Portfolio and Planning Seminars in the second week of each month (check calendar for dates)

The CPD-Accredited Tutor Training is for tutors who want to gain foundations in teaching and learning within a supportive professional development community. It will help tutors to think like an educator, and make a real difference for students.

This 4-week online facilitated course combines self-paced content with live online meet-ups to create the ideal blend for adult learners. We limit the size of each cohort, so that you can benefit from 1:1 support from your facilitator and get to know the other learners in your group.

What you need know:

The fastest way to complete our training, Live Sprints happen on the first week of every month.
Workshops are Monday- Thursday evenings at 7.15pm-9pm BST. We combine rich content with group discussions, so please be ready to engage and contribute.
You will need to attend every workshop and complete every task.
Training Seminars happen every Monday morning at 10am. These are recommended as a way to enhance your experience and deepen your learning. The seminars are open to alumni, so you can continue to join these meetings and continue to benefit from our professional development community beyond the course.
The CPD-Accredited Tutor Training takes 2-3 hours/ week for 4 weeks to complete.

Unit 2: Relationship Matters
Unit 3: The Learning Loop (a responsive planning tool)
Unit 4: Barriers for Learning: Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, Mental Health

Can I convert my CPD-Accredited course to a Level 3 in Education and Training?

You can level up to our Level 3 Qualification for Tutors at any time. Units 1-4 are the same on both tracks. The Level 3 continues with “Unit 5: Powerful Feedback” and two assessed pieces. Unit 6 is a Live Topic Review where you will need to deliver a 15 minute review of one of the topics on the course to the rest of your cohort, and observe three sessions delivered by your peers. Unit 7 is a written assessment covering the various aspects of education and training that we will have covered. Both these units are delivered in a low threat and supportive context.
