Level 2 Award in Safeguarding Children

 

The Level 2 Award in Safeguarding Children with Qualified Tutor is designed to equip educators, tutors, and those working with young people with the knowledge and confidence to ensure the safety and well-being of children in their care. This practical and accessible course emphasizes the importance of safeguarding practices, empowering participants to identify and respond appropriately to concerns about child safety.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understanding Safeguarding: Gain an essential understanding of safeguarding concepts, including legislation, policies, and best practices for protecting children.
  • Recognizing Signs of Abuse: Learn to identify various forms of abuse and neglect, as well as the behavioral and physical indicators of potential harm.
  • Reporting Procedures: Understand how to follow appropriate reporting procedures and work effectively with safeguarding teams or external authorities.
  • Creating a Safe Environment: Develop strategies to create supportive and safe learning spaces where children can thrive.
