I bought Julia Silver’s “Love Tutoring” book through Amazon, hoping for a few pointers. What I got, in fact, was the most inspiring guide and call to action for tutors, as well as invaluable practical advice. I am now halfway through the Level 3 Award in Education and Training run by Qualified Tutor, which ties in with the book. I am finding it incredibly useful. As well as covering the nuts and bolts of tutoring, the course requires participants to reflect on their existing practice and approaches.
